Fall Asleep (and STAY Asleep) More Easily

Unplug and Disconnect
Although it’s tempting to scroll through social media or text while getting ready for bed, the blue light from your phone or computer has been known to make it harder to fall asleep. Try to stop using all electronics at least 30 minutes before bed!
Keep Yourself Active During the Day
Sometimes sleep is negatively affected because you have been stagnant for most of the day and your body isn’t feeling a need to rest. Getting regular exercise will use up energy and allow you to completely relax when it finally is time to call it a day. Not to mention it is a crucial part of a general healthy lifestyle.
Use Lavender Oil
Studies have shown that lavender essential oil relaxes the mind and reduces anxiety. If you’re one of those people who can’t sleep because of worrying or overthinking, try out this natural remedy. Keep in mind that essential oils should not be used excessively and should be diluted. A really great way to do so is to mix a few drops of the oil with water in a spray bottle and spray a little on your pillow before getting into bed.

A consistent sleep schedule helps one’s quality of sleep greatly, and the more precise you can be the better. If you discipline yourself to wake up at the same time every morning, your sleep schedule will become more regimented, which in turn will make it easier for your body to know when to shut off.
